Mr. and Mrs. Gene Benton Jr. of Florence announce the engagement of their daughter, Ana Lane Benton, to Michael Corey Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Davis of Florence.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Benton Sr. of Florence and Beth Briggs of Myrtle Beach.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Lois Gainey and the late Archie Gainey of Florence and Lucy Davis and the late Manly Davis of Florence.
The bride-elect is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and Florence-Darlington Technical College with a degree in nursing.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Florence-Darlington Technical College with a business degree. He is employed by Element Energy.
The wedding will be October 24, 2009, at Central United Methodist Church in Florence.
