The alternative approach requires 3 weeks of daily, 15-minute visits as opposed to 5 weeks of standard therapy.
Canadian researchers say after 10 years, the cancer had returned in 6.2 percent of women who opted for the more intense treatment, compared to 6.7 percent of patients who went the traditional route.
