Ashley Nicole Abraham of Hartsville and Ashawnti Miquel Smith of Honea Path were married at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
E.B. Burroughs, D. Min., performed the ceremony.
The bride was escorted by her father and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Colon M. Abraham. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Josephine Bull and the late Mr. Archie Bull of Darlington and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Abraham of Darlington.
She graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in marketing. She is employed by HR Associate for Teksystems Inc., an IT consulting company.
The bride wore an ivory custom tailored Winnie Couture strapless silk gown with embroidered side insets, busted back with embroidery continuing down the train and along the hemline. She wore a matching two-tier fingertip-length veil. The bouquet was hand tied with white lilies, hydrangeas, roses and jewels encrusted inside the flowers.
The groom is the son of Mr. Michael D. Smith of Honea Path and Mrs. Brenda T. Rogers of Greenville. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Thompson of Honea Path, and Mrs. Ernestine Smith and the late Mr. Samuel Smith of Due West.
He is a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in marketing and is an area sales manager for Michelin in Sacramento, Calif.
Maids of honor were Ms. Cherrelle Abraham, sister of the bride, and Ms. Javone Richardson.
Bridesmaids were Ms. Miranda Brooks, Ms. Yvette Coe, Ms. Maria Davis, Ms. Carmen Jenkins, Ms. April McGill and Mrs. Regina Wilson.
Junior bridesmaid was Miss Sydney Martin.
Best men were Mr. Arizio Sullivan and Mrs. Chachi Sullivan.
Groomsmen were Mr. Brennan McDowell, Mr. Christopher Miller, Mr. Demarius Smith, Mr. Romarius Smith and Mr. Brian Woods.
Junior groomsman was Mr. Darion Martin.
Flower girls were Miss Centrea Haddon and Miss Arison Sullivan.
Bell ringer was Miss Allyson Bull.
Hostesses were Mrs. Patricia Dixon, Ms. Sonya Mackey, Ms. Sheena Hicks, Mrs. Allison Sullivan, Ms. Jasmine Smith, sister of the groom, Ms. Shana Sullivan and Ms. Gabrielle Wilson.
Ushers were Mr. Troy Abraham and Mr. John Johnson.
A reception followed at the Hartsville Country Club.
After a wedding trip to Hilton Head Island, the couple lives in Roseville, Calif.
