Taste of Hartsville has a new twist

Lots of people turned out for the annual Taste of Hartsville hosted by the Hartsville Chamber of Commerce.

This year’s Taste of Hartsville held at Kalmia Gardens of Coker College and sponsored by the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce had something different – a silent auction and a dance floor.
Robert Feury was commissioned to do a painting to be auctioned at the event. Feury chose the Thomas E. Hart House on the grounds of Kalmia Gardens as his subject.
During the evening, guests were given the opportunity to bid on the painting, as well as purchase prints of the painting.
Joe Thomas of Edward Jones won the top bid for the painting of the Thomas E. Hart House. Posters of the print are available at the Chamber or Wildlife Shop and Gallery for $5.
The umbrellas came out as rain threatened to put a damper on the event. However, the rain didn’t last long. Some of the guests took advantage of the new dance floor this year while others enjoyed the food and fellowship.
