LEXINGTON – Meg Felicia Hanks of Lexington and Alexander Justin Huggins of Hartsville were married June 21, 2008, at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Lexington. The Rev. Jeff Kersey performed the 6:30 p.m. ceremony. The reception was held at the Mitchell House.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Hanks of Lexington, is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Hill and the late John D. Hill of Leesville and the late Mr. And Mrs. K.W. Hanks of Savannah, Tenn. A graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts in history and of the University of South Carolina with an M.A.T. in history, she is a teacher at Lexington High School.
The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Huggins of Hartsville, is the grandson of Mrs. Almena Watford and the late Herbert Lee Watford and the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Alexander Huggins all of Hartsville. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and is employed in Columbia with SC State Credit Union, Leadership Development Team.
Maid of honor was Michelle Griffin. Bridesmaids were Brittani Bunce, April Cothran, Loni Cushman, Kristy Groth, Mindy Seigler, Katie Suggs, Amanda Tharin and Jaime Whitesell.
The best man was James Larry Huggins, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Troy Alexander, Joshua Barrett, Adam Bunce, Steven Cline, John Patrick Polson, Davis Safdi, Jason Tharin and Samuel Huggins, brother of the groom.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Lexington.
