Maggie Eunice May Lawhon and Bradley Dargan Flowers, both of Hartsville, were united in marriage on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Swift Creek Baptist Church in Hartsville. Dr. Todd G. Wilson, retired minister of First Baptist Church of Clemson, officiated at the 6 p.m. ceremony. A reception was held at Prestwood Country Club.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Glenn Johnston Lawhon Jr. of Hartsville. She is the granddaughter of June Mozingo and the late Harris Mozingo of Hartsville and the late Dr. and Mrs. Glenn J. Lawhon, also of Hartsville. She is a 2003 graduate from Hartsville High School and a 2007 graduate from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences. She is currently at the Medical University of South Carolina where she will obtain a Masters for Physician Assistant in August 2009.
The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Keith Dargan Flowers Jr. of Hartsville. He is the grandson of Mrs. Rachel C. Flowers and the late Keith D. Flowers of Hartsville and Mrs. Blanche M. Smith and the late William C. Smith of Columbia. He is a 2004 graduate from Hartsville High School and a 2008 graduate from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in health science. He is currently at the Medical University of South Carolina pursuing a doctorate degree in dental medicine.
Musicians were Mrs. Ann James, pianist, and Mrs. Kim Roberts, organist. Soloists were Timothy Huntley, Lyles Huntley and Mrs. Tanjah Hall.
The bride wore a designer gown by Casablanca, which had a slight sweetheart neckline and a slim A-line silhouette. The back of the gown featured a “V” neckline and a chapel-length train. A dramatic vine and floral embroidery with crystals decorated the bodice, and the train was finished with more of the same detailing.
Maid of honor was Jane Harriette Lawhon, sister of the bride, of Hartsville.
Bridesmaids were Katherine Glenna Lawhon, sister of the bride, of Hartsville; Renee Valeria Lawhon, sister of the bride, of Hartsville; Amy Elizabeth Flowers, sister of the groom of Hartsville; Emily Rhodes Odom, cousin of the bride, of Hartsville; Brantley Anne Culver of Greer; Lauren Christine Harris of Hilton Head; Ashley Caroline Sweet Crawford of Powhatan, Va.; Morgan Lane Crawford of Hartsville; Kimberly Jordan Swett of Lexington; Ellen Rebecca Watson of Hartsville and Jamie Erica Sligh of Hartsville.
The bridesmaids wore strapless dresses designed by Alfred Angelo in pistachio, shrimp, sunshine and blue jay colors.
Flower girl was Emily Honor Bonds of Florence.
The bridegroom’s father, Dr. K. Dargan Flowers, was best man.
Groomsmen were Stephen Keith Flowers, brother of the groom, of Hartsville; John Clinton Shell IV, cousin of the groom, of Camden; Pey-ton Key Flowers, cousin of the groom, of Omaha, Neb.; Justin Brooks Flowers, cousin of the groom of Omaha, Neb.; Michael Jacob Anderson of Aiken; Andrew Paul Phillips of Walhalla; Jeffrey Lansing Atkinson of Charlotte, N.C.; John Wesley Hollis of Rock Hill; Thomas Wilson Epton of Charleston; Heber J. Ring bearer was Benjamin Philip Bonds of Florence.

Greeters at the reception were George and Nancy Bennett of Clemson and Leon and Betty Coward of Hartsville.
After a honeymoon to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Charleston.

The groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner on the eve of the wedding at First Baptist Church.
A bridal brunch was given by Kim Odom, cousin of the bride, JoAnn Mozingo, aunt of the bride and Jill Maloney, aunt of the bride, at the Oak Manor Inn the morning of the wedding.
