Try these frosting and fudge recipes

Today is all about really really simple recipes. One is for frosting and the other for fudge. You can be in and out of the kitchen in no time and still make your family happy.


Cool Whipped Frosting


1 (3.5-oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 (8-oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

In a medium bowl, combine pudding mix with milk and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Gently fold in whipped topping until no streaks remain. Spread evenly over cake.


Yield: 2 cups

The Easiest Fudge You’ll Ever Make


1 small jar peanut butter, creamy or chunky

1 container chocolate frosting (not whipped)


Line rectangular baking dish (9 x 11 or so) with foil. Remove lids from both containers. Heat peanut butter in microwave oven at HI for 35 seconds. Heat frosting in microwave oven at HI for 35 seconds. (Times may vary for different wattage ovens.) Empty both containers into a medium bowl and combine well. Spread into lined baking dish and put in refrigerator. Chill several hours or overnight is best. Cut into squares and serve.
