Lois Nevitte Swink and Robert Sidney Morris III, both of Charleston, were married at 5:30 p.m., Nov. 17, 2007, at the home of the bride in Effingham.
The Rev. J. Haden McCormick performed the ceremony. Music for the ceremony was provided by vocalist Mr. Nick Townsend, trumpeter Mr. Kurt Slaughenhoupt and a four-string quartet.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry McCall Swink of Effingham. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Nevitt Clark of Myrtle Beach, and Mrs. James Woodrow Swink Sr. of Effingham and the late Mr. Swink.
She is a graduate of South Florence High School, received a Bachelor of Arts from Clemson University and a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of South Carolina. She is employed by the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
The bride wore a formal gown in ivory alencon lace and duponi silk with a chapel-length train adorning the back of the gown.
The groom is the son of Mr. Bob Sidney Morris Jr. of Cornelius, N.C., and the late Mrs. Mary Caroline Crawford of Charleston. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Spencer Crawford of Charleston and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bob Sidney Morris of Asheboro, N.C.
He is a graduate of Christ School in Arden, N.C., attended Wofford College and received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte. He is self-employed with RSM III and Associates, LLC.
Maid of honor was Miss Mary Margaret Morris, sister of the groom.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Woodrow Ervin Swink, sister-in-law of the bride.
Best men were Mr. Henry McCall Swink Jr. and Mr. Woodrow Ervin Swink, brothers of the bride.
A reception followed at the home of the bride in Effingham.
After a wedding trip to Costa Rica, the couple will live in Charleston.
