Ashley Ann Pruitt of Bennettsville and Patrick Keith Smith of McColl were married at 6 p.m. Oct. 27, 2007, at Blenheim Community Church in Blenheim.
Pastor Brian Oxendine and Pastor Terry Smith performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Pastor Eddie and Nancy Pruitt of Bennettsville. She is the granddaughter of Lester and Mildred Freeman of Bennettsville and James E. Pruitt and the late Cathy Pruitt of Bennettsville.
She is a 2002 graduate of Marlboro County High School and is a nursing student at Florence-Darlington Technical College. She is employed with Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, N.C.
The groom is the grandson of Elmer and Annie Ruth Smith of McColl.
He is a 1999 graduate of Marlboro High School and is employed with Crestline Industries in Hasty, N.C.
The bride wore a white satin halter gown with a beaded lace bodice and featuring a cathedral-length train embellished with beaded cutout lace appliqués and rosette adornments. Her veil was a tiara intertwined with white tulle and beads. The bouquet consisted of 36 white roses surrounded with cranberry lilies, baby’s breath and greenery.
Maid of honor was Amy Beach.
Best man was Elmer Smith, grandfather of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Misty Freeman and Vanessa Freeman, cousins of the bride, and Micah Frye.
Miniature bride was Hailey Bustard, cousin of the bride.
Ushers were Jamin Pruitt, brother of the bride, and TJ Wyland, brother of the groom.
Groomsmen were Philip Oxendine, Drey Liles, Jason Pruitt, brother of the bride, and Brian English.
Miniature groom was Ashton Polson, son of the bride.
Flower girls were Catherine Bowen and Rachel Jackson, cousins of the bride.
Ring bearer was Cameron Pruitt, brother of the bride.
Special participants in the wedding ceremony were Michelle Lowery, director; Heath Lowery, soloist; David Grooms, pianist; and Amanda Jackson and Amber Jackson; guest register attendants.
A reception followed in the church fellowship hall in Blenheim.
