Dana Messina Sarver of Florence and David Enoch Smith Jr. of Columbia were married at 6 p.m. Oct. 6, 2007, at Leaside in Columbia.
The Rev. Tandy Tapp performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Harry and Bobbie Sarver of Florence. She is the granddaughter of Joe and Marilyn Messina of Summerton, Hildur Sarver of Florence and the late Thomas Sarver.
She is a graduate of Maranatha Christian School with honors and Florence-Darlington Technical College with an associate’s degree in health science in nursing. She formerly was employed with McLeod Health and now is employed with Palmetto Surgery Center in Columbia.
The groom is the son of David and Christy Smith of Hopkins. He is the grandson of Mr. Sonny Tanner and the late Jo Tanner of Boston, Ga., the late Mr. James D. Smith and the late Ms. Lillie Glisson, both of Valdosta, Ga.
He is a graduate of Lower Richland High School in Hopkins, USC SALK with an associate’s degree in liberal arts and the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in retail management. He is employed with Custom Embroidery in Eastover.
Maid of honor was Mandy Martin, sister of the groom.
Best man was Mr. David Smith, father of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Ms. Brittany Claylor, Ms. Belva Kirven, Mrs. Devin Lebuhn, Mrs. Susan Lewis, Ms. Lana Loving, Mrs. Brandi Sarver, sister-in-law of the bride, and Mrs. Jennifer Watkins.
Groomsmen were Mr. Josh Bretelle, Mr. Will James, Mr. Brian McLane, Mr. Justin McLane, Mr. Jaime Rabon, Mr. Steven Smith, brother of the groom, and Mr. Derrick Wren.
Flower girl was Miss Kassidy Sarver, niece of the bride, and Miss Ansley Tillman, cousin of the groom.
Maiden of the rings was Miss Kayln Sarver, niece of the bride.
Wedding director was Mrs. Leigh Foster.
Wedding music was performed by pianist Mrs. Karen Kelly, and soloist Tom Cozzoli, cousin of the bride, who also sang the same song at the bride’s parents’ wedding.
A reception followed at Leaside in Columbia.
After a wedding trip to Oahu, Hawaii, the couple will live in Columbia.
