Frances Ruth “Francy” Ridgill of Darlington and Perry Hodges “Chip” Benton Jr. of Florence were married at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Darlington.
The ceremony was performed by Mr. Renny Johnson.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Norwood Ridgill Jr. of Darlington. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mannie Rickenbaker Brock of Summerton and the late Mr. Mannie Rickenbaker Brock, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Norwood Ridgill of Manning. She is a paralegal for W. James Hoffmeyer, attorney-at-law.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Hodges Benton of Pamplico and Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Turner of Myrtle Beach. He is the grandson of Mrs. Hubert H. Gaddy and the late Mr. Hubert H. Gaddy of Myrtle Beach, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl A. Benton of Florence. He is employed with Time Warner Inc.
Maid of honor was Miss Amanda Shaw Benjamin of Columbia.
Best man was Mr. Perry Hodges Benton, father of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Jennifer Layne Brock and KelLeigh Benfield Dantzler, cousins of the bride, Cheri Love Richardson, Erin Theresa Fuller, Kelly Marie Morris and Marielizabeth Munn Stalvey.
Groomsmen were Jason Brooks Collins, Kenneth Everette Moore, Robin Gregory Morris, Reid Downing Huggins and Mr. Cecil Norwood Ridgill III, brother of the bride.
Music was provided by pianist Rebecca Culbertson and vocalists Linzy and Karen Washington.
A reception followed at the Darlington Country Club with entertainment by the Band of Oz.
After a wedding cruise to the Caribbean, the couple will live in Florence.
