Sarah Jean Bird of Tucson, Ariz., and Wayne Alton Clark Jr. of Florence were married Aug. 18, 2007, at Florence Baptist Temple.

Pastor Chris Edwards performed the ceremony.

The bride, who was escorted by father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Beatty of Darlington. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Hedlund of Tombstone, Ariz., and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Beatty of Tucson.

She is a graduate of Mount Rose High School in Tucson and is employed with KIA of Florence.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Clark Sr. of Florence. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Phifer of Florence and Mr. and Mrs. Clark of Rockingham, N.C.

He received an associate’s degree in culinary and is the manager of Pro Image in the Magnolia Mall.

Maid of honor was Serena Beatty, sister of the bride.

Best man was Tim Haughn.

Bridesmaids were Brooke Umthun, Krystal Brown and Shera Wilson.

Groomsmen were Ryan Clark and Richie Clark, cousins of the groom, and Ray Floyd.

Flower girl was Brianne Wilson.

Ring bearer was Ty Yarborough.

A reception followed at the Holiday Inn in Florence.

After a wedding trip to Honolulu, the couple will live in

Florence.
