Barbara Copeland Suddeth of Columbia and James Hannon Suddeth Jr. of Summerville announce the engagement of their daughter, Meghan Amanda Suddeth of Columbia, to Joshua David Hesley of Atlanta, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Maurice Hesley Jr. of Florence.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Frank Copeland Jr. of Columbia, the late James Hannon Suddeth of Summerville and the late Frances Steen Suddeth Josephson of Summerville.
She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in art history and is a realtor with Coldwell Banker United Realtors in Columbia.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. John Maurice Hesley Sr. and the late John Maurice Hesley Sr. of Albermarle, N.C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Junior Helms of Albemarle.
He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from the University of South Carolina Honors College with a Bachelor of Science in economics and received a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He is employed by Emory Healthcare as an administrative fellow.
The wedding will be at 6 p.m. Jan. 26, 2008, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Columbia.
