LifePoint, originally known as the South Carolina Organ Procurment Agency, joined forces with McLeod Health on Monday to host the annual Gift of Life Tree Dedication ceremony.
Each year during the holiday season, LifePoint representatives make their way across the state to hold ceremonies honoring the memories of organ donors throughout South Carolina. The trees are decorated with ornaments handmade by the remaining family members of the organ donors as well as the donation recipients and their families. McLeod employees who have worked closely with LifePoint over the past year spoke at the event, which was closed with Christmas carols sung by the 4K class at McLeod’s Child Development Center.
