Mr. and Mrs. Randy A. Courtney of Florence and Mrs. Karen Brattain of Florence announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Paige Courtney, to Trenton Blair Smith, son of the late Mr. Thomas Michael Smith.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grover Campbell of Manning and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Courtney of Timmonsville. She is a graduate of Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Science in biology and is employed by Ricoh Business Solutions.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. James Thomas Smith and Lois M. Smith of Columbia, and Mr. Walter Powell Sr. of Mount Pleasant. He is a graduate of Camden Military Academy and is employed by Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

The wedding will be March 8, 2008, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Columbia.
