Mr. and Mrs. Glenn C. Hatchell Jr. of Timmonsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Cynthia Ann Hatchell, to David Scott Arwood, son of Mrs. Linda Arwood and the late Mr. Kenneth Arwood of Maryville, Tenn.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Bramlett and the late Mr. Roy Bramlett Sr. of Timmonsville, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Glenn C. Hatchell. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist College with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education. She is a third-grade teacher with Florence Christian School.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carroll S. Runion and the late Mr. and Mrs. David L. Arwood. He is a employed by IBM Global Services in Charlotte, N.C.

The wedding will be Feb. 9, 2008, at Florence Baptist Temple in Florence.
