Laurie Lee Evans of Lake City and Lewis Paul Taylor of York were married at 6 p.m. Dec. 8, 2007, at Shandon Presbyterian Church in Columbia.

The Rev. Dr. Agnus W. Norfleet and the Rev. Lester P. Branham, performed the ceremony.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Glenn Evans of Hartsville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeBlonde Cleckley Davis of Orangeburg and Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Lee Evans of Lake City. She is a 2003 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in advertising. She is employed by RedVentures Inc. in Charlotte, N.C.

The groom is the son of Mr. Ronald Lee Taylor of Clover and Mrs. Linda Diane Taylor of Gerton, N.C. He is the grandson of Mrs. James Marion McKnight of York and the late Mr. James Marion McKnight. He is a 2001 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in sports and entertainment management. He is employed by PrimeSource in Columbia.

Matrons of honor were Mrs. Lane Evans Buete and Mrs. Amy Evans Woodham, sisters of the bride.

Best man was Mr. Ronald Lee Taylor, father of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Margaret Pridgen Akers, Lauren Elizabeth Decker, Marikay Elizabeth Gomez, Susanne Watts Liggett, Amanda Floyd McConell, Mollie Britton McCraw, Jane Askins Rhodes and Lisa Taylor Smith.

Groomsmen were Landon Shane Bolick, Robert Keith Buete, Christopher Pierre Goss, Jack Turner Lawrence, Mack Alexander Lawrence, Collin David Liggett, Luke Trent Miller, Frederick Noe Munn, Wesley Scott Newell, Mark Edward Smith, Tyler Scott Speer and Jeremy Todd Woodham.

Flower girls were Marion Reilley Smith, niece of the groom, and Nancy Grace McGill, niece of the bride.

Ring bearers were Hayes Robert Buete, nephew of the bride, and Jake Tyler Buete and Landon Miller Smith, nephews of the groom.

A reception followed at the Clarion Town House, Palmetto Ballroom, in Columbia.

After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple will live in Columbia.
