Hard Rock Park guitar icon installed

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Myrtle Beach is now the site of the world's largest guitar.  Crews topped off the 70-foot guitar statue located in the middle of the Hard Rock park Thursday.

Gibson Guitar is the park's official music sponsor and supplier. The park icon will sit on a Gibson store and gallery, making the tower 90 feet high.

"We're really excited,” said Steven Goodwin, Hard Rock Park CEO. “Gibson is the largest music manufacturer in the world. Just another step on a great series of products that we're bringing to hard rock park and myrtle beach."

This is just one more step towards the park's expected public opening in early June.  News 13 will cover the park’s progress during the next few months.  You can watch News 13 on-air and log onto scnow.com for regular updates.
