MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Myrtle Beach city manager Thomas Leath wants city council to add a resolution restating their opposition to long bike rallies and would ask Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson to not to try to extend the rally or promote a longer rally to Tuesday's meeting agenda.
The resolution would also ask council to oppose the extension and further asks Horry County to limit vendor and special event permits to three days.
Leath said he thinks it is important to stay with the city's position on the rallies and use any opportunity to ask the county to join the city's stance.
The draft will be presented to council during their workshop tomorrow morning at 9. If council wishes to proceed, it may place this on the agenda for Tuesday's 2 p.m. meeting.
