Agapè Hospice of the Pee Dee is hired Laura Griggs as its new executive director.
Griggs, a Cheraw native, studied at the University of South Carolina and has worked in healt hcare for more than 15 years. She joined Agapè Hospice on Feb. 15.
As executive director of Agapè Hospice, Griggs will oversee the direction of its quality hospice services. She will be responsible for the employment of personnel, establishing standards of care to comply with federal and state regulations and to implement goals and objectives that go beyond the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
Griggs and her husband, Marty, have two children and three rescue animals. In her free time, Griggs enjoys spending time in her garden, visiting auctions, flying and watching her husband race.
“I know that I am extremely blessed and privileged to have this wonderful opportunity to work with such a caring and compassionate group of people at Agapè,” Griggs said. “I am looking forward to the many challenges that expanding this company is going to entail and am thrilled to be included at such an exciting time!”
