FLORENCE — Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service will conduct a one-day goat management seminar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 7 at the Pee Dee Research and Education Center in Florence.
The program will cover several important aspects of goat production. Topics will include forage systems for goats; forage establishment; goat reproductive cycle; signs of labor and kidding; castration; hoof issues and trimming; injections; and internal parasites and using FAMACHA.
The cost for the daylong seminar is $55 which includes a notebook containing copies of the presentation, fact sheets, lunch and refreshments.
