Five Florence School District 1 teachers have received the Montessori certification from the Montessori Teacher Education Program.
Stacy Krapf, Laura Middleton, Brandi M. McKay, and Klay H. Ross of McLaurin Elementary, and Yael Fatuly-Adum of the Poynor Child Development Education Pilot Program have completed all the requirements and have been awarded certificates from the American Montessori Society, the largest Montessori Organization in the world.
The Florence School District 1 Montessori Teacher Education Program is accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council of Teacher Education and the American Montessori Society.
