S&W Manufacturing in Florence has been awarded a $74,016 contract by the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO).
U.S. Rep. John Spratt of South Carolina said the contract is for printing file dividers and index tabs.
S&W, a division of the Smead Mfg. Co., offers custom filing and organizational products to authorized dealers, according to its Web site, www.swmfg.com.
GPO competitively buys products and services from thousands of private sector firms nationwide in one of the government’s most successful procurement programs, according to a press release from Spratt’s office. More than 80 percent of the printing contracts GPO awards go to small businesses.
“Printing contracts such as this produce substantial savings for taxpayers and strengthen local businesses,” Spratt said. “I am delighted to see S&W Manufacturing receive this contract.”
