Mark W. Buyck Jr., senior partner of the Florence and Surfside law firm of Willcox, Buyck & Williams, recently was an honored guest at a dinner recognizing past presidents of the S.C. Trial Defense Attorneys Association in Savannah.
Buyck served as president of the statewide association in 1978 and remains an active member.
He also received the Robert W. Hemphill Award from the association in 1997 in recognition of distinguished and meritorious service to the legal profession and to the public. Only a dozen Hemphill Awards have been presented by the association in its long history.
