Representatives from Crescent Bank today unveiled the bank's new Veterans' Account, which is an exclusive account for all former members of the United States Armed Services. This includes all who have served in the Air Force, Marines, Army, Navy or Coast Guard.
The Veterans' Account features a plethora of products that are exclusive for veterans. These features include: a free veterans' ATM/debit card; a free veterans' leather checkbook cover; free veterans' personalized checks; a free safe deposit box; free online banking and online bill pay; free Travelers Cheques; unlimited check writing; competitive interest; overdraft protection; a 0.25 percent annual percentage rate discount on new auto loans; a 0.15 percent increase on new certificate of deposits (CD) or Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA); and no minimum balance requirement.
The bank has added the new account in conjunction with becoming a principal activity sponsor of Coastal Carolina University's new Center for Military and Veterans' Studies. The center, which opens on campus in January, will recognize local American military veterans and preserve a record of their service. The center is partnering with the U.S. Library of Congress to collect and preserve the memoirs and records of local military veterans, while encouraging public appreciation for veterans and their contributions to the nation.
