Tom Kinard of Florence has been elected chairman of the Pee Dee Regional Airport Authority, while Robert Brown of Marion has been elected vice chairman of the group.
Authority members are Tommy Parham and Robert Abson representing Dillon County; Roy Burch Jr., E. LeRoy “Toy” Nettles and Leroy T. Edwards representing Florence County; Randall E. Gelzer Sr. and Kinard representing Florence; and Brown and Alta DuBose representing Marion County.
The Pee Dee Regional Airport District is made up of Florence, Marion and Dillon counties. The authority’s members are appointed by the governor upon the recommendation of the member governing bodies.
