Two Carolina Bank employees recently graduated from the S.C. Bankers School, hosted by the S.C. Bankers Association at the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.
Debbie Talbert of the Hartsville branch and Angela Jones of the Darlington office completed the three-year progressive course of study, and were exposed to general education experiences in many phases of banking. Talbert and Jones were among 67 students who received their diplomas July 16 in the Campus Room of Capstone House in Columbia.
Jones, a branch manager and loan officer, has been in banking for 10 years and with Carolina Bank for four years. Talbert is an assistant vice president and has been with Carolina Bank for 27 years.
Headquartered in Darlington, Carolina Bank operates 16 branch offices in six counties throughout the Pee Dee and Horry County. With more than $330 million in assets, the bank is one of the oldest and largest independent banks in South Carolina.
