The Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology held the first of a three-day Global Energy Management Summit for Roche Carolina’s international parent company Tuesday.
The Roche energy managers represent 15 Roche Group sites from North America, South America and Europe.
“The summit enables Roche energy professionals from around the world to discuss best practices and approaches, which supports Roche’s global commitment to sustainability,” David Wach, manager of Roche Carolina’s Utilities Department and Energy Management, said in a press release. “We appreciate the SiMT for making it possible for Hoffman La-Roche to hold a world-class meeting like this here in Florence. The facilities at the SiMT demonstrate South Carolina’s capacity to help multi-national companies compete technically in a highly global market environment.”
