From muscadines and cotton to peanuts and tobacco, Clemson University’s Pee Dee Research and Education Center will open its fields from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday for the annual agricultural showcase.
The program features a commodity marketing update by leading marketing specialist and commodity broker Edgar Woods. His presentation, beginning at 9 a.m., will include an update on how to get the best commodity prices.
The event, which is free and open to the public, also includes the choice of four morning tours and includes a picnic lunch and optional indoor afternoon workshops for CCA credits. Three pesticide applicator CCH credits are available in the morning session.
The morning tours are turfgrass; cotton and soybeans; corn, peanuts, muscadines and tobacco; and biofuels, switchgrass and wildlife.
Clemson’s Pee Dee center is at 2200 Pocket Road, Florence.
