Craig S. Evans has joined First Reliance Bank as chief operating officer. He will be responsible for managing all components of loan operations, deposit operations, mortgage operations, information systems, call center/customer support, project management and quality management.
Evans has more than 23 years of banking experience. He has led large-scale projects to purchase, develop and deploy technology to loan production, capital markets and servicing operations. He also participated in many portfolio acquisitions and corporate integrations.
Evans graduated from Wheaton (Ill.) College with a Bachelor of Arts in economics. He also graduated from the Mortgage Bankers Association Graduate School of Mortgage Banking. He has been active in organizations including Santee Lynches Community Development Board, Florence Economic Development Board, Reformers Unanimous and Lake Oakdale Homeowners Association. He and his wife, Lori, live in Florence and have four children and a grandchild.
